Earn your Audio Engineering Certificate from Midlands Technical College in as little as 6 months
Midlands Audio Institute has trained over 1000 students through our classes taught through Midlands Technical College Corporate and Continuing Education. All of our instructors have a minimum of 15 years of experience in audio engineering or field related to their classes topic. In addition to formal training, they have years of experience in the music business.

To qualify for our classes, you simply have to be at least eighteen years old. No placement test, no required advisement. Each class is $449 and includes the required textbook. Our alumni are getting jobs in the audio industry in a variety of positions and locations as audio engineers, managers, live sound engineers as well as starting their own studios and production companies.
FAQ
1. Is this program accredited?
Midlands Audio Institute partners with Midlands Technical College, Corporate and Continuing Education Division, to offer the Audio Engineering Certificate. The college is an accredited institution. Each student receives a certificate of completion for each class taken, and after taking all eight classes offered through our program a certificate as an audio engineer is awarded.
2. How long does it take to complete all of the classes offered?
Our program can be completed in as little as six months, and our program's flexibility allows students to take classes as it fits in their schedule. This means vou can take classes at a frequency that works for vou, whether its over six months or a couple of vears.
3. What sort of credentials does your staff have?
All of our instructors are professionals in the industry you are studying - be it studio owners, recording engineers, music business professionals, live sound engineers or digital music producers. The average professional experience of each instructor is over 15 years.
4. Does this program offer an job placement?
We do not offer formal job placement, but after the completion of all eight classes there is an option to take an internship where we pair you with a local or regional audio company to receive real world experience. We also pass alonq quite a few job leads to students as we receive them from area businesses.
5. How many classes do I need to take to receive an Audio Engineering Certificate?
The total number of required classed is 8. They are Intro to Audio, Studio Recording 1, Music Business, Studio Recording 2, Commercial Music Theory, Live Sound Production, Studio Recording 3 and Digital Music Production.
6. Does this program offer financial aid?
As a corporate and continuing education program, our audio engineering classes do not qualifv for traditional financial aid. For financial resources and information visit:
